29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(i): Flexible cords and cables were not approved or conditions of use and location: JOB SITE: 20947 Highway 54, Louisiana, MO 63436, at this facility, located outside the maintenance shop, a flexible cords was used to power an electrical fan in the smoking shed. The cord was plugged into an electrical outlet (non-GFCI outlet) on the outside wall from the maintenance shop, partially buried into the ground, where trucks travel and parked in the immediate area where the cord was buried, and ran up the outside wall of the smoking shed, through an opening to power the portable fan. The workers were exposed to an electrical shock, burn or electrocution hazard.
