29 CFR 1926.503(a)(2)(ii): Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) Jobsite, 130 Old Pond Road, Bridgeville, PA: On or about April 26, 2013, the employer failed to train employees on the procedures to be protected from fall hazards while installing guardrails. GMC Drywlall was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 618219, citation number 1, item number 1a and was affirmed as a final order on October 9, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at 227 Greene Plaza, Waynesburg, PA.

29 CFR 1926.1052(c)(1)(ii): A stairrail system was not provided along each unprotected side or edge of stairways: a) Jobsite, 130 Old Pond Road, Bridgeville, PA: On or about April 26, 2013, during guardrail installation activities, the employer did not ensure that stairwell systems were provided with a stairrail system along each unprotected side. Employees used the stairs to get up/down to the top of the first pre-cast deck and the lower section of stairs did not have a handrail.
