29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure: a. On or about May 9, 2013, at the above addressed jobsite, employees installing the plywood sheeting on the 10/12 pitched roof were exposed to falls of approximatley 10 feet due to the lack of a fall protection system. Elliott Carpentry and Contracting LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard which was contained in OSHA inspection number 853203, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on February 26, 2013, with respect to a workplace located at 4536 Franklin in Western Springs, IL.
