29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees working in areas where there is a possible danger of head injury from impact, or from falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns, shall be protected by protective helmets. 1. At the 17 Hilltop Drive in Troy, Missouri jobsite; an employee was working in an excavation eight (8) feet deep installing a sewer line with no head protection in place. Located above the employee working in the excavation was loose stones, dirt and another employee in a Bocat pouring rocks into the excavation exposing employee working in the excavation with no hard hat to struck by hazards.
