29 CFR 1910.212(a)(2): Guard(s) on machine(s) were not affixed to the machine or secured elsewhere when attachment to the machine was not possible: a. On machines, such as, but not limited to, the Gram 2 wrapper, the crimper cover was not secured to prevent access to the hazard area by raising the guard by hand without removing fasteners such as bolts/nuts or by another method that provided safe work, such as by an interlock switch. Abatement certification and abatement documentation is required for this violation. The documentation should include written verification of abatement, applicable measurements or monitoring results, and photographs or videos which you believe will be helpful. The abatement certification sheet is enclosed with the citation(s).
