29 CFR 1910.212(b): Anchoring fixed machinery. Machines designed for a fixed location shall be securely anchored to prevent walking or moving. Within the plant, machines designed for a fixed location were not secured, exposing employees to struck by injuries in the following instances: 1) In the Wood Shop, the Milwakee Miter Box Saw was not secured to the work surface it was setting upon. 2) In the Metal Fab Shop, a Wilton Strands Drill Press was not secured to the floor. 3) In the Assembly Area, the Central Drill Press was not secured to the floor.
