29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees working in areas where there is a possible danger of head injury from impact, or from falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns, were not protected by protective helmets:    a)  Jobsite, 318 45th Street, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, 15201:  Observed on or about May 17, 2013, employees engaged in pointing and pressure washing work on the exterior brick walls of a two story residential dwelling were not wearing protective helmets.  The employees were exposed to struck-by hazards from tools, bricks, and debris falling onto them from above.

The employee was exposed to struck-by hazards from loose bricks, pieces of bricks, and metal bars located on the third level of the scaffold.

The employee was engaged in pointing work on the exterior brick wall of the building while standing on a twelve inch wide aluminum plank.  The employee was exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 13 feet to the ground below.
