29 CFR 1926.303(b)(1): Grinding machines were not equipped with safety guards in conformance with the requirements of ANSI B7.1-1970, Safety Code for the Use, Care, and Protection of abrasive wheels, and paragraph (d) of this section. (a) On or about May 29, 2013 the inspection revealed that an employee was potentially exposed to serious injury from the use of Milwaukie 6148 angle grinder with an Avantipro metal cut-off attachment when it was not equipped with a safety guard. The hazard was located near the job trailer at 4255 Coast Guard Road in Florence, Oregon.
