29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:     (a)  The Miyano CNC Lathe (Model:  JNC-45, S/N:  JN450477) exposed employees to moving parts during the activities such as but not limited to the loading/unloading and startup/warm up from inadequate guarding on the door.      (b)  The Miyano CNC Lathe (Model:  KNC-45, S/N:  KNC-450389) exposed employees to moving parts during the activities such as but not limited to the loading/unloading and startup/warm up from the interlock switch on the door being by-passed.     (c) The Haas SL 10 CNC Lathe Tool Presetter allowed the Door Override program to be turned on/off by the operators potentially exposing employees to moving parts during the activities such as but not limited to the loading/unloading and startup/warm up.      (d)  The Haas SL 20 CNC Lathe allowed the Door Override program to be turned on/off by the operators potentially exposing employees to moving parts during the activities such as but not limited to the loading/unloading and startup/warm up.     (e)  The Haas ST 20 CNC Lathe allowed the Door Override program to be turned on/off by the operators potentially exposing employees to moving parts during the activities such as but not limited to the loading/unloading and startup/warm up.     (f)  The Haas SL 30 CNC Lathe allowed the Door Override program to be turned on/off by the operators potentially exposing employees to moving parts during the activities such as but not limited to the loading/unloading and startup/warm up.     (g)  The Hardinge Lathe (Motor Type:  DC SHUNT, S/N: B14135) had the rotating work-holding (chuck) device which was not guarded exposing employees to moving parts.     (h)  The Hardinge Lathe had the rotating work-holding (chuck) device which was not guarded exposing employees to moving parts.
