29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1):Employer had not developed or implemented a written hazard communication program that included the requirements outlined in 29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1)(i) and (e)(1)(ii): (a) On or about January 19, 2024, employees engaged in metal parts manufacturing were exposed to hazardous materials, such as but not limited to, lubricants, coolant, and cleaning chemicals. The employer had not developed and implemented a program which would address labeling and other forms of warnings on hazardous material containers, Safety Data Sheets, and employee information and training on the hazards associated with the hazardous materials utilized on site. The written program must also contain the following: 1. A list of all hazardous materials on site; 2. The methods thee employer will use to inform employees of the hazards associated with non-routine tasks involving hazardous materials, such as spills; 3. The hazards of the materials contained in piping that is not labeled, and; 4. The method the employer will use to inform other employers (contractors) of the chemicals their employees might be exposed to while performing duties at the site.
