29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) J & E Roofing, LLC on or about June 4, 2013, at the address of 250 Benedict Ave. Norwalk, OH: The employer did not ensure employees were protected from falls while installing new roofing material to a steep sloped roof on commercial structure. Employees were exposed to falls of approximately 8 ft. to the ground below. J& E Roofing, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 311608335, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on May 13, 2009, with respect to a workplace located at 3116 Erie St. Lorain, OH. J& E Roofing, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 311603997, citation number 1, item number 2a and was affirmed as a final order on July 11, 2008, with respect to a workplace located at 414 Gateway Blvd. Huron, OH.
