Inside of the grinding machine area, the employer was using duplex metal boxes with knockouts as extension cords to energize grinding machines. The boxes were used as drops from the ceiling. 2. Near the storage area, the employer was using duplex metal boxes with knockouts as extension cords to energize grinding machines. The boxes were used as drops from the ceiling. 3. 29 CFR 1910.305(b)(1)(i): Conductors entering cutout boxes, cabinets, or fittings shall be protected from abrasion, and openings through which conductors enter shall be effectively closed. 1. Inside of the welding area, on the west wall, there was a 120/240 volt electrical panel box with an unused opening located inside of the breaker box. Employees were exposed to physical contact with live parts.
