29 CFR 1910.23(c)(3): Regardless of height, open-sided floors, walkways, platforms, or runways above or adjacent to dangerous equipment, pickling or galvanizing tanks, degreasing units, and similar hazards were not guarded. On or about May 3, 2013, the carcass wash on the kill floor did not have a grated walkway over the carcass wash pit or railing to prevent access to the booth, exposing employees to a burn hazard.
