29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): 29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652 (b) or (c): At the site located at 2240 Gulf Freeway South, League City, TX: On June 4, 2013 the employer did not meet requirements for benching and sloping in that the maximum initial bench height and maximum allowable slope for the soil type were exceeded, exposing employees to a cave-in and engulfment hazards.
