OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees exposed to struck-by hazards while erecting the Trabant ride. On or about June 5, 2013, in Darlington WI, employees were erecting the Trabant ride and were exposed to struck-by hazards when working under a suspended load. Among other methods, one feasible means of abatement to correct this hazard would be to follow the owners manual from Chance Manufacturing Co., Inc. number 60.
