29 CFR 1926.503(c)(3): Inadequacies in an affected employee's knowledge or use of fall protection systems or equipment indicate that the employee has not retained the requisite understanding or skill: On or about 6/17/2013, two employees did not understand how the fall protection system worked. Instance 1: Two employees exited an aerial lift to apply waterproofing on the exterior structure and wrapped the lanyard around the midrail of the lift while attaching the safety hook to the lanyard. Instance 2: An employee was wearing a harness that was too big for his size and was not aware of the dangers of wearing a harness that did not fit properly.
