OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that; employees were exposed to struck-by hazards:     a) Main Shop: The employer failed to establish and follow a program of frequent and periodic inspections of Dayton 1-ton hoisting systems to ensure mechanical, structural and electrical integrity.    b) Main Shop: The employer failed to ensure that below-the-hook structural lifting devices met the requirements of proper marking, construction, inspection, testing, and maintenance.

The platforms on the roofing station was not equipped with standard guardrails on all sides, nor were the employees using personal protective equipment.     b) Main Shop: Employees were exposed to lower level fall hazards of approximately 6-feet while performing work on the roofs of truck bodies.
