29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladders' length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: On or about 07/03/2013 at the Atlantic Packaging Corporation Re-Roofing Project, employees were using a fiberglass extension ladder to access the upper roofs and the ladder did not extend at least 3 feet past the roof deck. Connecticut Restoration, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 314407586, citation number 1, item number 4 and was affirmed as a final order on 03/05/2012, with respect to a workplace located at 78 Hempstead Street in New London, CT.
