29 CFR 1910.138(a): The employer did not select and require employee(s) to use appropriate hand protection when employees' hands were exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances; severe cuts or lacerations; severe abrasion; punctures; chemical burns; thermal burns; and harmful temperature extremes.    Throughout the Plant: Employees were exposed to sharp metal which caused lacerations requiring stitches. Glove use was not required to protect employees' hands from severe cuts or lacerations, such as:    (a) An incident occurred on or about April 25, 2013, where a Rupture Disc Operator was not wearing gloves and received a laceration requiring stitches.    (b) An incident occurred on or about June 14, 2013, where a Shipping Employee was not wearing gloves and received a laceration requiring stitches.    (c) An incident occurred on or about June 14, 2013, where a Rupture Disc Operator was not wearing gloves and received a laceration requiring stitches.    (d) An incident occurred on or about July 1, 2013, where an Inspector in Rupture Disc was not wearing gloves and received a laceration requiring stitches.
