29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area:   a. Yard and Marina - Noted on or about 7/30/13 and at times prior thereto, the employer did not provide training to employees who use hazard chemicals such as flammable spray paints (Hempel and Pettit Marine antifouling paints) and thinners such as acetone and alcohol.

Yard and Marina - Noted on or about 7/30/13 and at times prior thereto, employees are required to use gloves, protective eye wear, respirators and fall arrest systems when performing maintenance repairs on vessels and operating equipment such as grinders or spray paint guns.  The employer has not performed a job hazard assessment that includes the criteria listed above.

The employer has not provided training that covers sections (i)-(v) of this section.
