29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards were present, or were likely to be present, which necessitated the use of personal protective equipment: 608 Union Road, Lyman, NE 69352 (Cleaner): The employer did not ensure that a job hazard evaluation was performed to determine whether personal protective equipment was needed. Employees were removing a maintenance panel on the cleaner when the panel unexpectedly pulled away and struck an employee. Abatement certification is required for this violation. The abatement certification sheet is enclosed with these citations.
