29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): "Roofing work on Low-slope roofs." Except as otherwise provided in paragraph (b) of this section, each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs, with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system. On 7/31/2013, employees from Metro Roofing Incorporated were working at the Shell Gas Station located at 6105 Mexico Road, St. Peters MO. Two employees were working on the roof of the gas station, which was approximately 14 feet above the ground, without the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. Metro Roofing Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 859584, citation number 01, item number 01 and was affirmed as a final order on 3/12/2013, with respect to a workplace located at 9643 Olive Blvd., Olivette MO.
