29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2): Listed or labeled electrical equipment was not used or installed in accordance with instructions included in the listing or labeling: a) Battery Charging Area - Production Facility: On or about, and at times prior to October 22, 2013, employees were allowed to use battery chargers that were not installed and used per manufacturer's safe operating procedures. The battery chargers were attached to wooden pallets (combustible material), thus exposing the employees to life safety hazards such as fire and smoke inhalation. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS NOT REQUIRED.

29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1)(i): The dimension of the working space in the direction of access to live parts operating at 600 volts or less and likely to require examination, adjustment, servicing, or maintenance while alive was less than indicated in Table S1: a) At the Battery Charging Area, on or about and at times prior to October 22, 2013, the employer did not maintain a 3 feet clearance working space for the safe operation and maintenance access to electrical control panels operating at 480 volts or less for employees performing maintenance operations, exposing employees to an electrical shock hazard. b) At the Battery Charging Area, on or about and at times prior to October 22, 2013, the employer did not maintain a 3 feet clearance working space for the safe operation and maintenance access to disconnect switches operating at 240 volts or less for employees performing maintenance operations, exposing employees to an electrical shock hazard. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS NOT REQUIRED.
