On or about August 15, 2013, at 1255  Gallatin Way, Suwanee, Georgia:  a) An employee performing framing work was exposed to struck-by hazards from nails and wood chips when he used a nail gun without eye protection.   b) An employee performing framing work was exposed to struck-by hazards from sawdust and wood chips when he used a Makita 5007F circular saw without using eye protection.

29 CFR 1926.304(g)(1): The sides of the lower blade were not guarded to the full diameter of the blade by a device that would automatically adjust itself to the thickness of the stock and remain in contact with stock being cut to give maximum protection:  On or about August 15, 2013, at 1255 Gallatin Way, Suwanee, Georgia:  An employee performing framing work was exposed to amputation hazards when he used a Makita 5700F circular saw with a piece of wood wedged between the cover and saw blade to prevent the blade guard from engaging.

J B Framing Inc was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.405(g)(2)(iv), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 760961, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on May 13, 2013, with respect to a workplace located at Acworth, Georgia.
