29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  This violation occurred on August 15, 2013 and at time prior thereto; when employees were exposed to rotating part hazards while operating the vertical drill presses:  a)      In the Aluminum Shop #150, employees used Dayton drill press that did not have a guard installed over rotating drill bits;  b)      In the Aluminum Shop #150, employees used Pro-Tech drill press that did not have a guard installed over rotating drill bits;  c)      In the Metal Shop, employees used portable Mag Drill that did not have a guard installed over rotating drill bits;  d)      In the Metal Shop, employees used Mill machine, LAGUN FTV-2 without guard.
