General-duty citation text
29 CFR 1910.147(c)(6)(i)(A): The periodic inspection of the energy control procedure was not performed by an authorized employee other than the one utilizing the energy control procedure being inspected: The employer is failing to protect employees from electrical shock and amputation hazards. The company has only one authorized employee for Lock-out Tag-out. By not having at least two authorized employees the company cannot conduct inspections/evaluations of the lock-out/tag-out program that are in accordance with this sub part. The one authorized employee on staff is conducting inspections of the program and affected employees. Failure to properly conduct these inspections precludes the employer from identifying potential lapses in the program including, but not limited to, inadequate written lock-out tag-out program.
