29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. On or about 8/28/13, during gutter replacement activities, the employer did not ensure that each employee on a walking/working surface, was protected from fall hazards of the unprotected sides of the commercial building. The warehouse roof had an approximate height of 25 feet, and no fall protection was in use. Advanced Roofing Systems Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501 (b)(4),which was contained in OSHA inspection number 55365, citation number 1, item number 1a, and was affirmed as a final order on 7/12/2009, with respect to a workplace located at 7160 Krick Rd., Walton Hills, OH 44146.
