29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems:          a) On or about April 17, 2019, employees were exposed to the hazard of falling approximately 18 feet while disposing of debris at the roof edge where fall protection had not been provided.          In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system:       a) On or about April 17, 2019, employees were not protected from the hazard of falling approximately 18 and 21 feet from the roof edge to the exterior of the building while engaged in roofing activities without the benefit of fall protection or a warning line and safety monitoring system.     b) On or about April 17, 2019, employees were not protected from the hazard of falling approximately 8 feet from the roof edge to an interior roof deck of the building while engaged in roofing activities without the benefit of fall protection or a warning line and safety monitoring system.        In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification.
