29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system: (a) Corner of Williams and Meriweather Sts Longmeadow, MA: On or about 9/19/13, three employees were working in an excavation that was in excess of 10 FT deep without any protective system as required by this subpart: GEG Construction, Inc was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 315974451, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on April 23, 2012 with respect to a workplace located at 40-42 Olive St in Danbury, Ct: Specific abatement documentation that this violation has been corrected must be provided within 10 days of the abatement in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d)(1).
