29 CFR 1910.134(e)(1): The employer did not provide a medical evaluation to determine the employees ability to use a respirator, before the employee was fit tested or required to use the respirator in the workplace:  a) for employees at at 6611 19th Street East Sarasota, (FL) required to use a 3M Full Face Respirator 6000 Series with 6001 Organic Vapor Cartridge & 5P71 P95 Particulate Filter when cutting and grinding gel coated and laminated boat hulls, decks and liners as observed on or about 12/16/2013.  On this date, an employee performing cutting operations was exposed to 54 mg/m3 of dust during a 443 minute sampling period.  The employee's 8-hour TWA of 50 mg/m3 was approximately 330% of the OSHA-PEL of 15 mg/m3.  The employee was cutting and grinding gel coated and laminated boat parts during a full-day shift. The exposure level was derived from one continuous sample collected over a 443-minute sampling period; zero exposure was considered for the remaining 37 minutes of the work shift.  Other tasks which required the use of respirators, include:  b) a 3M Full Face Respirator 6000 Series with 6001 Organic Vapor Cartridge & 5P71 P95 Particulate Filter when gel coating hulls as observed on or about 12/15/2013.  c) a 3M 7500 Series Half Face piece Respirator with 6001 Organic Vapor Cartridge & 5P71 P95 Particulate Filter  when gel coating hulls as observed on or about 12/15/2013.  d) a SAS SAFETY 8610 Particulate Respirator N95 when laminating hulls, decks and liners as observed on or about 12/16/2013.
