29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation shall be protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with paragraph (b) or (c) of this section except when: Location - Foley Street/Assembly Square T Station, Somerville, Ma: On or about 10/23/2013, an employee was not protected while digging around an existing water line in a trench that was in excess of five feet in depth.
