29 CFR 1910.107(c)(5):  Electrical equipment present in the spraying area(s) was not approved for locations containing both deposits of readily ignitable residues and explosive vapors:  AMS Vans, Inc. - on or about September 27, 2013, an employee performed spray application of a bed liner product, creating explosive vapors.  Electrical equipment, including wiring, conduit, outlets, and lighting, were not approved for use in Hazardous Locations.  In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.

Electric lamps located 12'9" and approximately 18' were not guarded or protected. The employee stored the respirator in the open, in a way that did not protect the respirator from contamination by dust or chemicals, or damage from moisture or extreme temperatures.  In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification.
