29 CFR 1910.252(c)(1)(iii): Local exhaust or general ventilating systems were not provided and arranged to keep the amount of toxic fumes, gases, or dusts below the maximum allowable concentration as specified in 29 CFR 1910.1000:    On or about 1/21/2014, in the welding area on the northwest side of the facility, the employer allowed employees to weld aluminum in order to fabricate aluminum ramps without providing ventilation sufficient to keep the concentration of the respirable fraction of particles not otherwise regulated below the permissible exposure limit of five (5) milligrams per cubic meter.

29 CFR 1910.1000(a)(2): Employee(s) were exposed to an airborne concentration of the respirable fraction of particles not otherwise regulated ("respirable particles") listed in Table Z-1 in excess of the eight (8) hour Time Weighted Average concentration of five (5) milligrams per cubic meter:   The employer does not ensure that no employees are exposed to an airborne concentration of respirable particles in excess of five (5) milligrams per cubic meter as an eight (8) hour time weighted average (TWA).  This violation occurred on 1/21/2014, in the welding area of the facility, when an employee was exposed to an eight-hour time weighted average concentration of eleven and six tenths (11.6) milligrams per cubic meter of respirable particles when sampled for 468 minutes.  Zero exposure was assumed for the un-sampled 12 minutes.
