Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. At a jobsite in Kingston, Illinois, employees standing at the edge of a roadway approximately 9 feet above a creekbed were not using any method of fall protection. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
