29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge 6 feet or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of a guardrail system, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system. a) Jobsite: Second floor, east wall - On or about 11/20/13, employees installing facade sections on the open edges of the second floor inside the mixed use residential/commercial building, 16 feet 11 inches above ground level, were exposed to fall hazards without the use of a fall protection system.
