On or about 11/19/13, at the maintenance shop area, at Boynes Trucking System, Inc. St. Thomas, VI. The employer did not ensure that employees scrapping rust from the double axel of a fuel tanker truck used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles.     NOTE:  Certification of abatement is not required for this citation item as abatement was documented by the compliance safety and health officer during the inspection.
