29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use [ANSIZ358.1-2004]:      a. On or about 11/19/13, at the five gallon containers washer machine area, at Virgin Beverages, Inc. DBA Virgin H2O, St. Thomas, VI. An emergency eye wash station was not provided in the immediate area when employees used and/or handled corrosive products such as Terra Chem Dish Washing Detergent (sodium hydroxide) during five gallon containers cleaning operation.      NOTE:  Certification of abatement must be submitted for this citation item as required by 29 CFR 1903.19(c).

29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): The employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program which describes how the criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f), (g), and (h) will be met:    a. On or about 11/19/13, at the five gallon containers washer machine area, at Virgin Beverages, Inc. DBA Virgin H2O, St. Thomas, VI. The employer did not develop a written hazard communication program when employees used and/or handled corrosive products such as Terra Chem Dish Washing Detergent (sodium hydroxide) during five gallon containers cleaning operation.      NOTE:  Certification of abatement must be submitted for this citation item as required by 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
