29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iii): Flexible cords and cables were used for purposes prohibited by subparagraphs (A) through (E) of this paragraph: 1) On December 18, 2013, and at prior times, employees were exposed to shock hazards in the following instances: a) where an extension cord was used in the place of permanent wiring, where the cord was hard wired into a junction box to supply power to an exhaust fan. Prohibited by paragraph (A) of this standard. b) where an extension cord was attached to the wall of the building with nail clips. Prohibited by paragraph (D) if this standard. Abatement Note: Abatement certification is required for this item (see enclosed "Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet").
