29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Employees engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs, with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels were not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system: a) 837 N. Orange Street, Wilmington, DE - Employees observed working on a flat roof with unprotected sides and edges, approximately 20 feet above the ground, without fall protection. The employees were installing a Duro-Last Commercial Roofing system and drip edge on a 30' wide by 55' long flat roof. The employer did not have a safety monitoring system or fall protection program for the site. This exposed the employees to a fall hazard. The violation was observed on or about December 27, 2013.
