29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) 750 Dowd Avenue, Elizabeth, NJ 07201 - Production Area: Employees were allowed to operate paper bag production machines without guarding to prevent injury during operation. Equipment to include, but not limited to: 2) Multiple production lines: No guard or distancing tool was provided for employees loading finished bags into the bundling ram. Ingoing nip point and caught-in hazard was created by employees guiding bags into the bundling processor. Condition occurred on or about January 28, 2014. Duro Bag Manufacturing Co. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29CFR 1910.212(a)(1)), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 280876, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on August 8, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at 750 Dowd Avenue, Elizabeth, NJ 07201.
