Superior Powder Coating, Inc. / NJ Site: Green line Production Area -  Combustible dust was not cleaned off of Class I Div 2 rated and electrical equipment, including but not limited to dust collection equipment, vacuum, electrical junction box, breaker, and outlet receptacles.       Observed on/or about 03/13/2014.

29 CFR 1910.95(c)(1): A continuing, effective hearing conservation program as described in 29 CFR 1910.95( c) through (n ) was not instituted when employee noise exposures equaled or exceeded an 8 hour time weighted average sound level (TWA) of 85dBA:            Superior Powder Coating, Inc/ NJ site: The Employer did not provide a continuing effective Hearing Conservation Program for employees exposed to noise above 85 dBA. Employees were exposed to continuous noise levels equivalent to 75.54% (87.9 dbA), 90.80% (89.3dbA), and 327% (98.5dbA) respectively of the allowable dose of 50%, or 85 dBA for an 8-hour TWA. The levels are above the 8-hour TWA of 85dBA over 400 minutes. Zero exposure was assumed for all unsampled time periods.     Observed on or about 03/06/2014.

Electrical equipment was not rated Class II  Division 2 and/or moved 25 feet away from the Class II Division 2 location.     Observed on/or about 05/02/2014.
