Inside of the Crib, employees were exposed to an amputation/laceration hazard due to a possible machine process malfunction on the following equipment:  a/  Bridgeport Milling Machine, s/n 24455.  Inside of the Tooling Center, specifically B-4, employees were exposed to an amputation/laceration hazard due to a possible machine process malfunction on the following equipment:  a/  Bridgeport Milling Machine, s/n 82982-2.  b/  Bridgeport Milling Machine, s/n 96432-2.  c/  Bridgeport Milling Machine, s/n 437756.  One method of abatement to correct this apparent hazard is to install emergency stop devices as required by ANSI B11.8-2001, paragraph 6.12.1.  DISCLAIMER:  a/  The employer is not limited to the abatement method(s) suggested by OSHA. b/  The employer is responsible for selecting and implementing an effective abatement method.
