29 CFR 1910.95(g)(1): The employer did not establish and maintain an audiometric testing program as provided by 29 CFR 1910.95(g) by making audiometric testing available to all employees whose exposures equal or exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average of 85 decibels: This violation occurred on January 24, 2014, at a workplace located at 320 E. Methvin St. Longview, TX 75601; where the employer had not established and maintained an audiometric testing program for employees exposed to noise that had exceeded an 8-hour TWA of 85 dBA, based on an 80 dB threshold. A press operator employee was exposed to continuous noise levels at 75.1% of the permissible 8-hour TWA. The equivalent level of 75.1% is approximately 88.0 dBA. Sampling was performed for 386 minutes during one shift. Zero exposure was assumed for 94 minutes not sampled.
