29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): Types of guarding. One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation. Examples of guarding methods are-barrier guards, two-hand tripping devices,electronic safety devices, etc. At the time of the inspection, the electronic interlocks on the two cardboard balers were not adjusted to require the barrier guards to be closed where an employee could not reach into the point of operation.

29 CFR 1910.22(d)(1): In every building or other structure, or part thereof, used for mercantile, business, industrial, or storage purposes, the loads approved by the building official shall be marked on plates of approved design which shall be supplied and securely affixed by the owner of the building, or his duly authorized agent, in a conspicuous place in each space to which they relate. Such plates shall not be removed or defaced but, if lost, removed, or defaced, shall be replaced by the owner or his agent. At the time of the inspection, boxes of paperwork were stored above the production/safety office and no load rating signs were posted.
