29 CFR 1910.107(l)(1): Electrical equipment and other sources of ignition did not conform to the requirements of paragraphs (c)(1)(i)-(iv), (8) and (9)(i) of this section and subpart S of this part: Employees were exposed to fire and explosion hazards from combustible powder coat paint for the following instances: Instance 1: Non-grounded compressed air hoses used to blow down the powder paint booths created ignition sources from the build-up and discharge of static electricity. Instance 2: A Craftsman brand wet/dry vacuum listed for household use only was used in the area of the powder paint booths to clean deposits of combustible powder coat paint.
