29 CFR 1926.502(d)(8): Horizontal lifelines were not designed, installed, and used under the supervision of a qualified person, as part of a complete personal fall arrest system, which maintained a safety factor of at least two:   The employer does not ensure horizontal lifelines are designed, installed, and used under the supervision of a qualified person, or that it is designed as a part of a complete personal fall arrest system that maintained a safety factor of at least two. This violation occurred on or about February 05, 2014, when employees were exposed to a fall hazard while installing metal sheeting on a roof at heights greater than 15 feet without ensuring the horizontal lifelines were designed, installed, and used under the supervision of a qualified person and maintained a safety factor of at least two.  Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that all personal fall arrest systems comply with 29 CFR 1926.502.

29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems:  The employer does not ensure that employees are protected from falling while engaged in steel erection activities at heights greater than fifteen feet. This violation occurred on or about February 05, 2014, when employees were exposed to a fall hazard while installing metal sheeting on a roof at heights greater than 15 feet without a fall protection system.    Ramco Erectors, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 314338930, citation number 1 item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order September 22, 2010, with respect to a workplace located at 6006 I-45 North, Houston TX 77055.    Ramco Erectors, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 316283266, citation number 1 item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order May 10, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at 6672 South Padre Island Drive, Corpus Christi, TX 78412.  Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that all employees performing steel erection activities are protected from falling.
