29 CFR 1926.96: Safety-toe footwear for employees shall meet the requirements and specifications in American National Standard for Men's Safety-Toe Footwear, Z41.1-1967. [58 FR 35152; June 30, 1993] (a). At the construction job site located at 3255 Sedge Drive, employees were allowed to wear soft sole tennis shoes which did not provide proper foot protection from punctures and falling material that may strike the feet of the employee.
