29 CFR 1926.451(g)(2): Effective September 2, 1997, the employer shall have a competent person determine the feasibility and safety of providing fall protection for employees erecting or dismantling supported scaffolds. Employers are required to provide fall protection for employees erecting or dismantling supported scaffolds where the installation and use of such protection is feasible and does not create a greater hazard:     a) On or about February 11, 2014 - employees erecting a tubular welded frame scaffold were not using personal protective equipment, including but not limited to harnesses and guardrails, thereby exposing the employees to fall hazards of approximately one hundred and ten (110) feet.     The Brand Energy Services, LLC previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.451(g)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 671358, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on December 20, 2012 with respect to a workplace located at 2127 W. 22nd Place, Chicago, IL. 60623.
