29 CFR 1926.405(a)(2)(ii)(I): Flexible cords and cables shall be protected from damage. Sharp corners and projections shall be avoided. Flexible cords and cables may pass through doorways or other pinch points, if protection is provided to avoid damage.  a. On the second floor of the apartment building closest to the doll museum, the employer failed to provide employees with power tools that were free from damage. The DeWalt circular saw's cord was damaged near the strain relief going into the plug. Employees were exposed to contact with live electrical current.  b. On the second floor of the apartment building closest to the doll museum, the employer failed to provide employees with power tools that were free from damage. The DeWalt circular saw's cord was damaged approximately 1.5 feet from the plug, where it was tied together with an extension cord.. Employees were exposed to contact with live electrical current.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): "Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. Exception: When the employer can demonstrate that it is infeasible or creates a greater hazard to use these systems, the employer shall develop and implement a fall protection plan which meets the requirements of paragraph (k) of 1926.502.  a. On February 18, 2014, employees were observed on the roof of a split level apartment building under construction; the employees were not wearing fall protection and were exposed to a 24 foot fall hazard.
