29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels was not protected by a guardrail system, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employees provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501(b): (a)Jose Rivera Construction at 11415 and 11525 East 26th Avenue, Denver, CO 80238: On and before August 16th, 2014, the employer did not ensure that employees were using fall protection when framing 2 two-story single-family homes in the following instances: 1) Employees were allowed to walk on the exterior two-story top plates to set roof trusses without the use of fall protection; 2) Employees were allowed to walk on the sheathed roofs, with an approximate pitch of 6 on 12, when setting roof trusses, without the use of fall protection; and 3) Employees were allowed to work near open window wall openings, with the lower sill approximately 21 inches high, without the use of a top rail. The conditions exposed employees to fall hazards of up to approximately 25 feet.
